Edisen Appoints Kate Dohaney as New Chief Executive Officer

Serving previously as Edisen’s Chief Client Officer, Dohaney quickly demonstrated dynamic leadership across the organization. With a proven track record of strategic business transformation and innovation, Kate brings a wealth of experience and a fresh, fun perspective to her new role as CEO.

Dohaney began her career in post-production with notable contributions to multiple award-winning advertising campaigns, as well as musical collaborations with prominent figures like Composer Mario Grigorov and Director Lee Daniels on the Academy Award-winning film, Precious. Transitioning to corporate leadership, she led the advertising agency joint venture "The Box" (The&Partnership and Hogarth Worldwide), taking over the day-to-day operations of internal creative teams, doubling the output at a more efficient cost. Her nearly decade-long tenure at The Wall Street Journal and News Corp further solidified her reputation, where she served as Senior Vice President, Strategy and Operations, overseeing B2C and B2B creative engines and leading future of work initiatives globally.

More About Kate Dohaney:

Dohaney brings a diverse background in strategic leadership to her role at Edisen. Dohaney began her career producing music for advertisements, television, and film, working with iconic companies such as Big Foote and Elias as Executive Producer. Dohaney collaborated with noted musical acts and touched many award-winning spots partnering with brands such as Nike, MetLife, GE, Google, Pepsi, and MTV. She also worked with Composer Mario Grigorov and Director Lee Daniels on the Academy Award winning film, Precious.

Subsequently, Dohaney spearheaded an advertising agency joint venture known as “The Box” in North America (The&Partnership and Hogarth Worldwide), taking over the day-to-day operations of internal creative teams, doubling the output at a more efficient cost. Dohaney then went on to spend the greater part of a decade at The Wall Street Journal and News Corp, where she distinguished herself as Senior Vice President, Strategy and Operations, leading the B2C and B2B creative engines as well as the Future of Work efforts across multiple diverse global businesses. 

Beyond her corporate leadership, Dohaney has served as an advisor for the Transformative Leadership Program at Pace University's Lubin School of Business. Her commitment to continuous learning is reflected in her academic achievements, holding an MBA from NYU Stern with a focus on Leadership and Change Management. Additionally, she earned a certificate in Organizational Leadership from Harvard Business School Online and was selected to participate in the UCLA Anderson School of Management Startup Accelerator Incubator.
