Project Summary

Edisen was recognized at the New York Festivals Global Awards for our production and post/VFX role in the award-winning Xeljanz ‘Living the Nightmare’ commercial for rheumatoid arthritis.

The brief was to highlight the daily challenges for a sufferer of RA. Pfizer wanted the focus to be on symptoms while also giving patients hope that effective, quality care is available. Critically, the tone of the film had to strike a careful balance between nightmarish and uncomfortable, yet hopeful.

The film involved a significant amount of VFX as well as a unique filming method. Edisen developed the approach, adding in a personal touch by putting the viewer in the shoes of the sufferer.

How we made it Unskippable

The video generated more than 100,000 organic views in its first phase of release, and a further 40,000 Facebook shares and more than 1000 comments. It went on to win in the World’s Best Healthcare & Wellness category at New York Festival’s Global Awards.
